An introduction to fundamental art concepts and techniques including an overview of art history. The course provides basic studio experiences in drawing, painting, and other media, and serves as a prerequisite for additional art electives. This section is based on the Theme Transformational, and it will serve as the focus. Art by its very nature is transformational, changing one form into something completely different. The power to transform is human, and this process of change is one the artist initiates to express, communicate, and understand.
