How to Find A Preceptor
Student is expected to network with potential preceptors and identify someone who agrees to work with them. https://www.ssmhealth.com/find-a-doctor

Placement Process
Student Responsibility: Submit Preceptor Request Form. DO NOT SUBMIT REQUESTS TO SSM ON YOUR OWN VIA THEIR WEBSITE. SSM acquired Agnesian and Dean Health Care - though they are now the same organization, their placement process does differ slightly which is why students should not submit the formal request via the SSM website. Students must complete the Preceptor Request Form and the Clinical Placement Coordinator will submit the formal request via the appropriate process. The website is also a very new process for SSM and has had significant glitches. This is another reason why the Clinical Placement Coordinator will submit all requests.
Clinical Placement Responsibility:
Submit formal request through Student Clinical Placement Form on the SSM website or via email
Required Information Upon Approval of Placement
Student will receive emails from SSM staff with instructions for orientation and onboarding. Complete all required training.
