Requirements/Restrictions

Marian is limited to 3 students per semester.  The following guidelines will be used to determine who is eligible for these placements each semester.  3 placements are available for Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Fall 2025 - Starting in Fall 2024 Aurora will implement a $500 fee for any practicum experience, which the student will be charged to the student.

      • Priority 1 - students currently in a practicum at an Advocate Aurora facility
      • Priority 2 - current Advocate Aurora employees
      • Priority 3 - all other students starting first with FNP3, then FNP2, followed by FNP1 - should more students have interest in an Advocate Aurora site than placements allow, a drawing will be held.

How to Find A Preceptor

Do not contact potential preceptors.  The agency will assign someone.

Placement Process

Student Responsibility: Submit Preceptor Request Form

Clinical Placement Responsibility:  Submit formal request through MyClinicalExchange.  

Required Information Upon Approval of Placement 

Student will receive emails Advocate Aurora Staff and MyClinicalExchange with instructions for orientation and onboarding.  Complete all required training.  Student will incur a nominal cost for MyClinicalExchange.
