This course explores the fundamentals and analysis of healthcare financing. Basic functions of expenditiures and sources of funding are emphasized. This course also analyzes third party payment programs and reimbursement practices in the US healthcare sector. Through this course students will understand and explain the major differences between private insurance and managed care systems and how policy reform impacts the healthcare industry.
