Discussion: After reflecting upon your current practice, respond to the following prompts. If you are not in a classroom setting, think about the teaching and learning relationship you have with others.

  1. Describe what changes you would make to your instruction—for the whole class and/or for students who need greater support or challenge—to better support student learning of the central focus (e.g., missed opportunities)

  2. Describe the research-based instructional strategy or strategies you found that you feel will be most beneficial for your setting.

  3. Explain why you think these changes and strategies would improve learning. Consider the variety of learners in your setting who may require different strategies or learning support or extensions.

In your reply to your peers, extend their thinking by asking a question or sharing a resource or strategy that you use or learned about in your exploration of the research-based strategies.
