In this module you will:

• Become more confident in assisting their students in technology-rich activities
• Explore the challenges of effectively integrating technology into the school setting and curriculum
• Define pedagogy and educational philosophy which governs how teachers and students use computer technology
• Develop criteria for judging whether or not computer technology and software will be of use
• Create a pedagogical and philosophical framework within which that software will be put to use

Introduction:

Technology can be wonderful when effectively implemented into the classroom. True integration of technology will be transparent and seamless adding to the delivery of instruction and assessment of learning. However, the technology alone will not improve instruction.

Reflection:

Write a reflection about the evaluation of teachers and students in terms of technology use in the classroom. Think about the research from SAMR, TPACK, and the framework for technology integration. How you evaluate your own technology use and the use of your students?Post your reflection in the discussion forum.

Action Assignment:

Revisit your template from last week. Write a detailed rationale for the inclusion of the technology tools that you selected within your design. Explain how the technology enhances the lesson and helps to achieve the learning objectives. Upload your rationale to the assignment submission dropbox.
